Earth Woman is…
The woman who is one with moss, trees and flowers,
who moves in rhythm with the moon and her waters,
who honours her blood,
who knows rest is fuel and not laziness,
who embraces pleasure as her birthright,
who listens when her body whispers before it has to scream,
who lives in alignment with her deepest truth.
This retreat is an invitation to slow down and savour life in all it has to offer.
Slow wake-ups, long nourishing morning practices, deliciously abundant brunches savoured in the shade of the pergola, gentle strolls through the countryside, refreshing swims in the pool and the Mediterranean Sea, and magical evenings beneath the stars.
But beyond slowing down, this is an invitation to come back to the ground beneath you and the Earth within you.
To soften the places in your body that have learned to stay braced.
To be nourished without needing to earn it.
To reconnect with pleasure as something that is already yours.
Through embodied practices, rest, movement, connection and time in nature, we will explore what it means to feel deeply at home in ourselves — in our bodies, our sensuality, our softness and our truth.
This is a space to let your nervous system exhale. To root down. To receive. To enjoy the simple and extraordinary gift of being alive, and especially alive in a woman’s body.
Held in an intimate circle of no more than 13 women, so that every voice is truly heard and every woman is truly held.
If you long to experience the power of sisterhood while slowing down, grounding and reconnecting with what truly nourishes you, Earth Woman is for you.
The daily flow
This retreat weaves together a rich tapestry of practices rooted in yoga, somatics, Tao Tantric Arts, Traditional Chinese Medicine, nervous system regulation and more.
Everything is designed to support you in coming back to your body — not as something to fix or improve, but as a place to inhabit, listen to and enjoy.
Mornings begin slowly and in silence.
From the moment we wake until the end of our morning practice, we will be holding sacred silence — creating space to turn inward before the outside world begins to ask for your attention.
Through movement, yoga, somatic explorations, breath and self-massage, we will gently awaken the body and create the conditions for you to land more deeply within yourself. Our morning practices are an invitation to root down, soften and reconnect with your natural rhythm.
At the end of our practice, we will break the silence with song, allowing sound and voice to gently bring us back into connection with one another. From there, we will gather in a sharing circle before moving into the rest of the day.
Afternoons invite a deeper exploration of the feminine vessel.
We will explore the feminine body through embodied practices and Tao Tantric Arts, learning ways to cultivate, move and circulate energy within the body. Not from a place of striving, but of curiosity, presence and listening.
We will work with practices that support regulation, release, vitality and pleasure, reconnecting you with the wisdom and life force already present within you.
Evenings are for softening.
As the day comes to a close, there will be space to unwind, connect, share a delicious meal and slowly transition towards rest. No pressure to keep going. No need to make the most of every minute.
Just the permission to follow the natural rhythm of your body and retreat into an early night when that is what you need.
This retreat is for you if…
You long to feel deeply nourished, rested and recharged.
You need a break from the busyness and constant demands of everyday life.
You want to reconnect with your body and its natural rhythms.
You are ready to explore a more receptive, slower way of being.
You want to soften your relationship with rest and learn to receive without guilt.
You feel curious about reconnecting with your sensuality, pleasure and feminine life force.
You are looking for a retreat where there is space to simply be, rather than constantly do.
You long for meaningful connection and the power of sisterhood, without having to be “on”.
This retreat is not for you if...
You want every day to be packed with activities, excursions and stimulation.
You are looking for a retreat focused primarily on outward adventure or achievement.
You want to keep busy from morning until night.
You are not ready to slow down and explore what might arise in the space that creates.
You are not ready to lean back, trust the process and allow yourself to be held.
Nestled amongst olive and almond groves
The retreat centre that will host us, YogApulia, is set in 2.5 acres of grounds in a valley filled with olive and almond groves in Puglia, the heel of Italy.
Accommodation consists of six twin bedrooms and one double bedroom all with private ensuite bathrooms. All rooms are renovated to a high standard using locally sourced materials to create a luxurious yet simple and understated feel. A large outdoor courtyard provides the main communal eating space, and several outdoor terraces offer a place to relax in the sun or the shade.
Situated at the heart of the complex, the swimming pool acts like a colourful meeting point – with the blue water combining with the green olive trees and the red soil.
YogApulia is a boutique retreat centre exclusively for yoga and meditation practice. The accommodation has been built around old trulli.
A trullo (plural, trulli) is a unique architectural building, made out of rough stone quarried locally and built in an overlapping way without using any mortar but just simple know how and tools. The structure is composed of walls up to one metre wide, above which a conic roof rises, covered with “chiancarelle” – large narrow stone slabs positioned in a circular fashion.
This type of construction keeps the interior cool during the summer and warm in the winter.
Nutritious and delicious food
The food served will be varied, unprocessed and nourishing to promote energy and wellbeing. It will be predominantly plant based with some vegetarian options and local, seasonal and organic wherever possible.
Two delicious plant based meals, brunch and dinner, will be served daily. I know some of you are thinking: “will that be enough?” Some of the previous participants had the same doubt and they were super happy with the abundant choice, portions and quality of the food - believe me you will end up eating more than you would have liked!
Refreshments will also available throughout the day and include tea, coffee, water, fruit and the occasional cake.
